Newsletter

UDW News is a quarterly newsletter distributed to UDW members in print, email, and on the website.

I design the layout and cover for each issue and handle how content is organized and presented. As more time-sensitive updates have shifted to email and text, the newsletter has become a place for shorter, more everyday pieces focused on member engagement.

The newsletter follows a consistent structure—typically a letter from organizational leadership and a few articles written by staff. Much of my focus is on hierarchy and readability, especially when working with dense, text-heavy content across three language versions.

Beyond layout and production, I’ve also helped shape parts of the publication more directly. I’ve worked with artists to commission illustrations for special issues and helped develop select pieces, including an op-ed that remains one of the strongest articles we’ve published.
