PROJECT OVERVIEW
Video for the Oregon Recreation Site Status Map
In 2020, the state of Oregon faced a severe wildfire season that resulted in a large number of post-fire recreation area closures. In 2021, Oregon’s Natural and Cultural Resources Recovery Task Force released an interagency status map for the public to be able to understand where these closures were and to plan ahead. I was tasked with creating a video to help promote this map and make it easier for the public to understand how to navigate the map online.
This was a very different type of project for me and required a combination of skills to create something engaging and informative. I gathered videos and photos from various agencies and coordinated voiceovers for both English and Spanish versions of the video. I also used After Effects (a rare treat!) to animate the site for the video.
